Ulta Haul!

A few weeks ago I went to the always tempting Ulta.  I say "always tempting" because I never stick to my list of products to purchase.  Gordon will tell you, I have no self-restraint when it comes to beauty products.  Ulta is one of my favorite places to shop because they have such a wide variety of products that can suit anyone's budget.  There's always a sale or deal of some kind going on allowing you to stretch that dollar even further.  I went during there 21 Days of Beauty and had a 20% off coupon.  Yaaaay deals!  If anyone out there needs some shopping inspiration, here are the products I picked up!

Just before this shopping trip, I had run out of my Rimmel foundation.  For some reason, they didn't have the one I wanted in stock, so I took that opportunity to try something new!  So far, I have enjoyed this foundation.  It applies very matte and helps minimize the shine throughout the day.  It doesn't solve my shine problem by any means, but it is a start.  I'll have to play around with it more before I give a full review.

First of all, how precious is that name?!  As with all NYX products, it swatches beautifully and has great pigmentation.  I have only worn this a few times, but it is a great product to use on its own or layered under a gloss or lipstick.  It's also surprisingly comfortable for a pencil!

I have a problem with these: I can't stop buying them.  I have three other shades from this range which are all beautiful.  The formula is so smooth and buttery and it makes my lips look so full.  If you haven't tried this product, I would highly recommend picking one up!

The only Stila products I have tried were eye products.  I have been eyeing up these convertible color blushes/lip colors for such a long time.  This pack contains three deluxe sizes in the shades Camellia, Peony, and Tulip.  I believe there is another pack with a different set of shades if these are not shades you're interested in.  I love cream base products for the warmer months because I feel like they last longer throughout the day.  All of these shades are beautiful and you barely need any product to get the pigmentation you want.  I especially love Tulip for that healthy flushed look.

I wrote in my last post how I was super disappointed in this product because I think I got a bad batch.  I am relieved to say that my suspicion was correct.  This product performs just as well as the black one I have, giving that amazing color payoff without having to go over the line multiple times.

Well, now that's a bit of a mouthful, isn't it?  (Or would it be eyeful if you're reading it...?) Is there ever a part of your makeup routine that you just want to skip on a daily basis?  That's how I've been feeling with my brows recently.  I have naturally thick brows and sometimes I just don't feel like filling in the patches and then combing them into place.  This product has been great for all my lazy brow days.  It has a tiny brush that is so easy to maneuver.  The brush also contains just the right amount of product, so you don't need to worry about having crusty brows.  I don't think this is a dupe for some of its higher end counterparts, but if you don't feel like shelling out the cash this is a great alternative.

This is definitely a "the Internet made me buy it" product.  With the spring and summer months getting into swing, I wanted to try these facial sprays everyone can't get enough of.  This product specifically is supposed to hydrate and refresh your face without disturbing your makeup.  I do find it refreshing when I spray it on my face, but less is definitely more in this case.  I also recommend holding it at arm's length while you spray so your face doesn't look wet.

Since I bought the Stila Trio, I got this as a free gift!  I have only worn it once, so my thoughts are limited.  I like how it felt and looked on the lips, but it did feel a little too sticky for my taste.  I will keep trying it and report back to you all!

Those are all the products I got at Ulta!  Have you been shopping recently?  What have you bought and loved?  Let me know in the comments!

Until next time!

Rachel
